Children are the adults of tomorrow and these past few years have been extremely challenging for them. There is a very real rise in depression, anxiety, and even suicidal attempts in/by children which parents have no idea how to deal with. Now more than ever, our children need to feel loved, secure, and supported. I believe if the parents are equipped and healthy, the kids’ mental health will improve over time.
This is a 6-weeks virtual parenting group. Come learn new and alternative ways to parent your child/children. Learn psychological skills that will help you parent from love, establish a culture of honor in your family, and discipline that enriches your child’s relationship with self and others. These skills can be applied to any stage of parenting.
You will learn how to:
How to communicate with our kids
Understand and navigate your children’s feelings
Implement relationship-based discipline
Be a secure attachment-base for your child/children.
Navigate conflict smoothly
Regulate your own emotions as a parent
Learn how to prioritize your own self-care
And much more...
Each week, we will meet for 1.5 hours. There will be a teaching portion for the first 1/2 hour and we will engage with the material and bring in our own experiences for the last hour. The beauty of a group is that it allows us to connect with people who truly understand and share our challenges. Groups are a safe space that allows us to share our own experiences and learn from others.
In this group, we will learn but we will also put what we learn into practice. Get ready to transform the way, you parent. If you are devoted to change, we will support each other toward it. We will celebrate the wins and grieve the losses together. Parenting is hard and you don’t have to do it alone. I will create a safe space for you to be real about the challenges you face.
